My name is Pamela and I am primary writing this blog for three reasons.

First, I have been crocheting since 1985 and would like to push myself to the limits in my crocheting skill. This is not a blog about free crochet patterns or selling crochet tools but my log as I attempt to complete the 18 projects in “Crochet Master Class” book. I will be writing in detail the process and difficulty I had as I complete each one. The outcome of the projects, tips, and the ease of reading and understanding the instructions. In short, the entire experience with each crochet project in the book.

Secondly, I joined Annie’s Attic “Hook & Needle” club. This will give me some small projects to work on while I challenge myself with the big ones. I thought it would be fun to post about each one of the kits. I am joining the club because it will encourage me to work on projects I would not ordinarily do. I am excited to see what all the kits are each time they arrive.   I am hoping you will join me in my journey as I  crochet and post about each of the kits.   It will also be interesting to see how many kits there are in the club.

Lastly, on Wednesday’s I will be writing about a crochet topic or a tutorial on a crocheting stitch or technique to help you improve your crocheting skill and become more knowledgeable of this craft.

It is my desire that you will not only learn from my experience but that it will inspire you to push yourself to the next phase in your crocheting skills.

Come and join and learn with me on the journey to crochet our way to becoming  Crochet Masters.

I work at an elementary school and we are starting “clubs” for after school. I did this last year but was at a lost to find “really simple projects” . I have approximately (15) 4th and 5th grade girls. It was extremely hard teaching them how to make a slip knot. I even went on You Tube so they could see it.

    Do you have any suggestion?

    Thank you,

  2. I am posting a link here for a post I wrote a while ago on teaching children to crochet. I am hoping this will answer most of your questions. https://crochetwithpassion.wordpress.com/2013/02/27/tips-on-how-to-teach-children-to-crochet/
