This week brought with it my next kit from Annie’s Hook & Needle Club. I am a little excited about this one. It is a Beret and Fingerless Mitt Pattern. I am thinking they will be perfect for riding my bicycle in the fall.
The kit came with two skeins of Premier Berry Burst Yarn from the Deborah Norville Collection, and four patterns two in crocheting, and two in knitted. After looking at the Premier Yarn web sight (www.premieryyarns.com) I can say without trepidation that this kit came with a yarn I can repurchase if I like.
The pattern is worked using a H and N hook and it is marked easy. The pattern is done is rounds, so it will be good practice for a beginner who has not crocheted a lot of projects in rounds. The pattern consists of single crochet(Single Crochet ), the rib stitch (Single Crochet Rib Stitch) and single crochet decreases (Single Crochet Decrease. After reading through it I am thinking it will work up quickly.
This kit makes me want to hurry up and finish my Solomon’s Knot scarf so I can get started on this one. I love projects I cannot wait to start.
Until next time, keep those hooks flying.
